This N-scale Siemens ALC-42 Locomotive with DCC captures Amtrak #309 in Phase VII, delivering a faithful representation of the modern cross-country Charger for model railroad layouts. Developed in collaboration with Siemens Mobility to maximize realism, the design reflects the distinctive nose and cab door configuration of the ALC-42 locomotive.

Powered by a TCS WOWSound CD-quality 16-bit 44.1 kHz decoder with Audio Assist for easy setup without CVs, it includes a Keep-Alive device to maintain operation during power interruptions. The model also features directional headlights and marker lights with configurable ditch lights (steady or alternating), interior corridor work lights, and E-Z Mate II couplers. A die-cast frame carries separately applied windshield wipers, grab irons and other detailing, while a dual-mode NMRA-compliant decoder handles sound, speed, direction and lighting control.
