HO EMD BL2 Locomotive with DCC - Rock Island #426 (BAC69203)

This HO-scale EMD BL2 locomotive with on-board DCC recreates Rock Island #426 as a faithful, operation-ready model for HO layouts. The BL2’s wide cab and long hood were designed to improve visibility during reverse movements, a detail faithfully captured here for authentic operation on secondary-line freight and passenger duties.

Features include all-new body tooling and a dual-mode NMRA-compliant DCC decoder for flexible control, plus roadname-specific detailing such as headlight styling, a steam-generator exhaust stack, a roof-mounted radiator, and cab sunshades. A precision motor with all-wheel drive delivers smooth performance, complemented by a painted, highly detailed body and blackened metal wheels with RP25 contours. There’s room for a sound upgrade with a speaker enclosure, and the model includes separately applied detail parts, working front and rear headlights with Rule 17 operation or automatic direction control, and magnetically operated E-Z Mate Mark II couplers. For best results, it runs on 18-inch radius curves or larger.
