N 55' Steel Coil Car with Coil Load - CSX #496172 (BAC71452)

An N scale 55-foot steel coil car with coil load, designed to add authentic North American freight traffic to a model railroad layout. It comes with six removable steel coils that sit in prototypical cradles inside the car, letting operators recreate realistic coil shipments on the layout.

Built with all-new body and chassis tooling, this model features detailed painted bodies with precision graphics and two coil hood styles to match different prototypes—round and angled designs. It includes a separately applied brake wheel, magnetically operated E-Z Mate Mark II couplers, blackened metal wheels with RP25 contours, see-through sideframes, and added weight for improved tracking. Six removable steel coils are included, along with removable, stackable coil hoods and detail parts, all reflecting an authentic Evans Products design for enhanced realism on the layout.
