Rolling Thunder Receiver for Model Railroads (BLI1596)

Rolling Thunder Receiver for Paragon3-equipped Locomotives adds deep, synchronized sound to HO and N scale layouts. It works with the locomotive’s built-in Rolling Thunder transmitter to send low-frequency audio to a subwoofer under the layout, so you feel the rumble as the locomotive moves and the puffing of smoke stays in sync with the train.

Compatible with both DC and DCC layouts, the receiver plugs in easily and works with any Rolling Thunder-equipped Paragon3 locomotive. It delivers bass-rich, immersive sound that complements the locomotive’s higher-frequency audio, using two transmission frequencies and 29 channels per frequency to minimize interference. On large layouts, the system detects distance and fades the subwoofer when the locomotive is far, or connects automatically to another locomotive’s subwoofer as needed. The setup includes the Paragon3 locomotive with its Rolling Thunder transmitter, a receiver box under the layout, and a powered subwoofer.
