Introducing the N-scale 40' Steel Boxcar Set A (BLI7270) — a four-car ensemble designed for model railroaders seeking an authentic representation of classic steel boxcars from the 1920s through the 1950s. These cars mirror the New York Central era fleet and would have been seen across North America in interchange, with four road names represented: NYC, MC, P&E, and B&A.

Built with a plastic ABS body and ABS chassis, these cars roll on metal wheels with milled axles for smooth, friction-free movement. They feature a sliding main door, steel roof walkway, brake wheel and platform, and a detailed underbody, plus operating knuckle couplers compatible with Code 55, 70, and 80 rails and a minimum 9-inch radius. The design captures era-specific variations such as rectangular-paneled roofs, AB brakes, ARA U-section trucks, and a steel-grid running board, plus two door styles and two end-cap variations (corrugated and non-corrugated, including 7-8 corrugated ends and Dreadnaught ends).
