HO ATSF Blue Goose Locomotive #3460 1941 Appearance (BLI7393)

HO ATSF Blue Goose Locomotive #3460 1941 Appearance (BLI7393)

HO-scale Santa Fe Blue Goose locomotive in a 1941 appearance is an authentic, era-accurate model for HO layouts. It captures the iconic engine’s look from that period and is designed to deliver engaging operation as well as display appeal.

Powered by a 5-pole can motor with a skew-wound armature on a heavy die-cast chassis, the locomotive offers solid pulling power and smooth slow-speed performance. It features an all-new Paragon4 sound and control system with synchronized puffing smoke and a back-EMF-enabled decoder for reliable operation on both DC and DCC layouts. Handcrafted brass boiler, cab, and tender bodies plus extensive detailing—handrails, ladders, piping, cab glass, whistle, brass bell, markers, number boards, and air tanks—combine with rubber traction tires for traction. Lighting includes separately controllable headlight, number-board lights, cab light, tender deck light, and rear emergency light, while figures of an engineer and fireman add realism. Prototypically accurate for both early and post-1938 appearances (including the 1941 livery), this model requires an 18-inch minimum-radius layout, making it a compelling centerpiece for serious HO-scale setups that value authentic look, sound, and performance.
