The HO K-2 Mikado with 16-VC Tender, designated as #1177, is a detailed model of a Chesapeake & Ohio Railway locomotive from the 1940s. This model is recognized for its large Elesco feedwater heater and the distinctive flying air pumps hanging from the smokebox door. Originally delivered with a 12,000-gallon capacity Vanderbilt tender, most units transitioned to using the 16,000-gallon capability of the 16-VC tender.
