HO RF-16 Sharknose Locomotive A/B DMIR 728/729 Maroon & Yellow (BLI7704)

HO scale RF-16 Sharknose Locomotive A/B DMIR 728/729 in maroon and yellow is a detailed, ready-to-run model that recreates Baldwin’s iconic Sharknose design. This AB set pairs a powered A-unit with Paragon4 sound and control (DC/DCC) with an unpowered B-unit, delivering authentic two-unit operation seen on prototype lash-ups and featuring prototypically accurate paint schemes and road numbers for the DMIR livery.

Built for HO layouts, the model uses an ABS body with a die-cast chassis for maximum tractive effort, all-wheel electrical pickup, and separately applied details such as grab irons, horns, and a bell. It benefits from a dual-mode decoder with Back EMF for smooth slow-speed operation, prototypical light effects, and Baldwin Sharknose sounds, with MicroTrains-compatible couplers. It will operate on Code 55, 70, and 80 rail with a minimum 18-inch radius, and an additional powered A-unit is available separately to expand to a longer AB configuration for even greater realism.
