N EMD F3 A/B Locomotive Unpowered B Paragon4 MEC #683/671B (BLI7723)

An unpowered B-unit version of the EMD F3 A/B diesel locomotive, this Maine Central MEC 683/671B model is built to pair with a powered A-unit for an authentic AB consist. It features Paragon4 sound and control for realistic diesel performance, along with prototypical paint and lighting to mirror the Maine Central prototype.

Engineered for realism and reliability, the B-unit uses an ABS body with a die-cast chassis for maximum tractive effort and includes all-wheel electrical pickup, two MicroTrains-compatible couplers, and multiple MU door options on the front. The Paragon4 system delivers authentic sounds with Rolling Thunder, while a dual-mode decoder with Back EMF enables smooth slow-speed operation on both DC and DCC layouts. It will operate on Code 55, 70, and 80 rails and has a 9-inch minimum operating radius, making it a strong foundation for a faithful F3 AB set.
