The Q2 was among the most powerful ten-coupled steam locomotives ever built, and this faithful replica features hand-crafted brass boilers, cabs, and tender bodies on a heavy die-cast chassis. It includes Paragon4 sound with synchronized puffing smoke, a DC/DCC-compatible decoder with Back EMF, and integral GoPack capacitors for authentic operation.

On the layout, this model delivers both scale realism and performance: a 5-pole can motor with a skew-wound armature and precision drive ensures heavy hauling and smooth slow speeds; rubber traction tires boost pulling power; prototypical lighting includes headlight, rear light, cab light, rear marker lights, and a lighted brakeman's cab; factory-installed engineer and fireman figures and many separately applied details such as handrails, ladders, piping, cab glass, whistle, and brass bell add to the look.
