Inside, a Paragon 4 sound and control system includes an integral DCC decoder with back-EMF for smooth slow-speed operation in both DC and DCC. A precision drive mechanism, five-pole can motor, and skew-wound armature provide steady, heavy-load towing and reliable low-speed performance. Heavy die-cast construction, rubber traction tires, and prototypical lighting—individually controllable headlight, cab light, and reverse light—enhance pulling power and realism.
