The real SD45s were powered by EMD's 645E3 20‑cylinder engine delivering 3,600 horsepower, and this UP 3632 variant faithfully reproduces the prototype's paint scheme, road numbers, and lighting for a convincing display on any layout.

Equipped with Paragon 4 Sound and Control featuring Rolling Thunder, the model includes an integral GoPack capacitor pack and a dual‑mode decoder with Back EMF for superb slow-speed operation on both DC and DCC.
