N Light Pacific 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive B&M #3688 Minuteman with Paragon4 (BLI8000)

An N-scale B&M 4-6-2 Light Pacific No. 3688 “Minuteman” with Paragon4 Sound brings authentic Pacific steam to an N-scale layout. Based on the classic USRA Light Pacific design, it delivers prototypical sounds and operation in both DC and DCC environments, so it’s ready for realistic steam-era running.

The model features a die-cast boiler and chassis for strength and maximum tractive effort, plus traction tires for added pulling power. It includes two MicroTrains-compatible couplers, as well as separately applied handrails, ladders, a whistle, and a brass bell for detailed realism. Power is delivered through an integral DCC decoder with Back EMF and Paragon4 sound with Rolling Thunder for smooth, slow-speed operation. The locomotive rides with a 10,000-gallon tender, includes a prototypical Golden White LED headlight, and will operate on Code 55, 70, and 80 rails with a 9.75-inch minimum radius, making it suitable for most modern layouts.
