HO Cryogenic Tank Car UTLX White (BLI8046)

The HO-scale Cryogenic Tank Car in UTLX White is a detailed freight model designed to haul cryogenic liquids such as liquid oxygen (LOX), liquid nitrogen (LN2), and argon. Built to prototype standards, these high-capacity tanks can carry more than 15,000 gallons of LOX and maintain ultra-cold temperatures—oxygen around -297°F, nitrogen around -320°F, and argon around -302°F.

The model features prototypically accurate paint and fine lettering, with two roof walkway options and two truck configurations (friction bearing or roller bearing). It includes numerous separately applied details such as handrails, ladders, and brake hardware, and uses metal wheelsets with NMRA RP-25 profiles paired with Kadee-compatible knuckle couplers. It is compatible with Code 70, Code 83, and Code 100 track and requires a minimum 18-inch radius to operate smoothly. Two-car sets are supplied, with each car uniquely numbered to reflect the prototype.
