HO AAR 70-Ton Triple-Hopper Freight Car — ATSF GA-73 is an HO-scale replica of the widely used bulk-car that hauled coal, gravel and other bulk commodities across North America. First appearing in the late 1930s, thousands of GA-73-style cars served dozens of railroads through the 1980s, making them a familiar sight on the rails. This model captures the distinctive triple-hopper design and overall proportions, providing a faithful centerpiece for yard and mainline scenes.

Details mirror the prototype with precise rivet work, wire grab irons, and separate brake lines and hoses. Features include two brake housing options (Ajax and Miner) and three brake-wheel configurations; two newly-tooled 70-ton trucks with solid bearing and roller bearing variants and improved mounting for smoother operation. The model rides on metal wheelsets with realistic wheel faces and comes with Kadee-compatible knuckle couplers and a removable ABS coal load for an open-hopper look.
