HO Scale Canadian Pacific 70-Ton Triple Hopper. This detailed model reproduces the bulk-car design used across North America to haul coal, gravel, coke, and other bulk commodities. Introduced in the late 1930s, more than 33,000 of these cars were built for dozens of railroads, and many remained in service into the 1980s.

Features include accurate prototype scale with fine rivet detail on interior and exterior, wire grab irons, and separate brake lines and hoses. The braking system offers authentic options—Ajax and Miner brake housings and a choice of brake wheels (Ajax, Miner, Modern)—along with two newly-tooled 70-ton trucks (solid bearing and roller bearing) and an improved mounting design. Metal wheelsets with prototypical wheel faces, and Kadee-compatible knuckle couplers, enhance operation. A removable ABS coal load reveals a decorated interior, and the overall decoration is carefully reproduced with builders’ stencils, trust lettering, and other minor markings for a convincing finish.
