N Cryogenic Tank Car Big 3 2-Pack (BLI8143)

An N-scale Cryogenic Tank Car set, Big 3, offered as a two-car pack for adding a high-capacity cold-liquid fleet to a layout. These cars model equipment designed to haul ultra-cold liquids such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, and argon, with operating temperatures dipping well below freezing: LOX around -297°F, LN2 about -320°F, and argon near -302°F. With a capacity of more than 15,000 gallons of LOX—roughly double the capacity of many predecessors—these tank cars capture the scale of industrial cryogenic service on a modern railroad.

Prototypically accurate paint and detailing, two roof walkway options, and two truck configurations (friction bearing or roller bearing) help convey realism. Numerous separately applied parts, including hand rails, grab irons, ladders, brake housing, and a brake wheel, add to the visual detail. Metal wheelsets feature authentic wheel faces, and the cars come with Microtrains-compatible operating knuckle couplers. They will operate on Code 55, 70, and 80 track, and require a minimum 9.75-inch radius. The two-car pack includes two uniquely numbered cars for a credible cold-liquid train on your layout.
