N Cryogenic Tank Car Linde Type C (BLI8155)

The N Cryogenic Tank Car is modeled after the Linde Type C and is designed specifically for the transportation of super-cold liquids such as liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. With outstanding capacity, these tank cars provide the ability to transport more than 15,000 gallons of liquid oxygen, effectively doubling the capacity of their predecessors. These tank cars are engineered to maintain extremely low temperatures, operating efficiently at temperatures as low as -297 degrees Fahrenheit for liquid oxygen, -320 degrees Fahrenheit for liquid nitrogen, and -302 degrees Fahrenheit for liquid argon.

This model accurately reflects the prototype through precise scaling from original blueprints, and features prototypically accurate paint schemes. The fine printing on the model reproduces builders' stencils, test data, and other minor lettering with great detail.

The N Cryogenic Tank Car includes two options for roof walkways and two different truck options, either friction bearing or roller bearing. It comes assembled with metal wheelsets that feature prototypical wheel face contours and is factory-equipped with Microtrains-compatible operating knuckle couplers, allowing it to operate on code 55, code 70, and code 80 rail. The minimum operating radius for this tank car is 9.75 inches, ensuring compatibility with various layouts.
