HO EMD GP35 Locomotive C&O 3529 with Yellow Nose (BLI8223)

HO-scale EMD GP35 Locomotive representing Chesapeake and Ohio 3529 with a Yellow Nose is a detailed model designed for authentic freight operation on HO layouts. The real GP35s were widely used across North American railroads and were powered by a 16-cylinder EMD 567D3A engine delivering 2,500 horsepower, a lineage this model faithfully reproduces with prototypically accurate paint and road number.

Designed for flexible operation, this Stealth Series model is DCC-ready and ships no-sound out of the box, with an 8-ohm speaker installed to ease adding sound later. The ABS body rides on a die-cast chassis for maximum tractive effort and smooth slow-speed performance, and it features all-wheel electrical pickup, directional front and rear lights (other lights stay on with track power), prototypically accurate paint schemes and road numbers, and two metal Kadee-compatible couplers. It will run on DC out of the box or with a DCC decoder, on Code 70, 83, and 100 rails, and requires a minimum 18-inch radius to negotiate curves smoothly.
