The HO RF-16 Sharknose Locomotive in USAAF 801 livery is an HO-scale model designed to bring Baldwin’s iconic Sharknose into a modern layout. This Stealth Series unit is DCC-Ready and ships without sound, giving modelers a straightforward path to adding a decoder and sound if desired.

Engineered for heavy pulling and smooth slow-speed operation, it uses a precision drive system with all-wheel electrical pickup and a die-cast chassis under an ABS body for maximum tractive effort. The model ships with an 8-ohm speaker installed to simplify adding sound, and front and rear lights operate directionally while other lighting comes on with track power. It features premium painting with prototypically accurate schemes and road numbers, along with fine details such as grab irons, horns, and a bell. Two metal Kadee-compatible couplers are included, and the model will operate on Code 70, Code 83, and Code 100 HO track, with an 18-inch minimum operating radius for reliable performance.
