HO EMD F7A Locomotive SP 6295 Bloody Nose (BLI8314)

HO-scale EMD F7A Locomotive SP 6295 "Bloody Nose" is a single A-unit model designed for HO layouts, capturing the classic F7 cab unit used by Southern Pacific in both passenger and freight service. The F7 was EMD's fourth in the F-unit line and its best-selling cab unit, known for its distinctive details and road-specific paint. This Stealth Series model is DCC-ready with no sound out of the box and includes an 8-ohm speaker already installed to simplify adding a sound decoder if desired.

For operation, the model features directional front and rear lights (other lights illuminate with track power), a precision drive mechanism engineered for heavy towing and smooth slow-speed performance, and all-wheel electrical pickup. The ABS body with a die-cast chassis provides solid traction, while prototypically accurate paint schemes and road numbers add authenticity. Numerous separately applied details—grab irons, horns, bells, and more—plus metal Kadee-compatible couplers enhance realism. It will run on Code 70, 83, and 100 rails with a minimum 18-inch radius. Road-specific exterior details such as water and sand fill hatches, dynamic braking components, cooling fans and exhaust hatch, winterization hatch, and multiple MU doors help recreate the SP prototype in authentic form.
