HO EMD F3A Locomotive for CB&Q in aluminum with black nose stripes is a detailed HO-scale model of the EMD F3A diesel, designed to represent Chicago, Burlington and Quincy power on a layout. This Stealth Series release is DCC-ready and ships without sound, making it easy to add a decoder and sound kit later while preserving a faithful prototype look.

Constructed with an ABS body and die-cast chassis for durability and strong pulling power, the locomotive features directional front and rear lighting and an 8-ohm speaker pre-installed to simplify future sound installation. It carries prototypically accurate paint and road numbers, along with road-specific detailing such as three pilot options included where prototypical, nose doors with and without headlights, horizontal and 45-degree numberboards, water fill and sand fill hatch locations, and other authentic features like a dynamic brake hatch, cooling fans, and winterization hatch. Two metal Kadee-compatible couplers are included, and it will operate on Code 70, Code 83, and Code 100 rails with a minimum operating radius of 18 inches.
