HO EMD F3B Locomotive CBQ 9961B (BLI8335)

An HO-scale EMD F3B locomotive in Chicago, Burlington & Quincy (CB&Q) livery, designed to bring the diesel-era look to a model railroad. The aluminum body with black nose stripes captures the distinctive styling of the era and suits CB&Q-themed layouts.

Designed for practical model-rail operation, this locomotive is DCC-ready with no sound out of the box, but includes an 8-ohm speaker pre-installed to simplify adding a sound decoder in the future. It features an ABS body with a die-cast chassis for maximum tractive effort, all-wheel electrical pickup, and two metal Kadee-compatible couplers. Prototypically accurate paint and road-number detailing enhance realism, and it will operate on HO rails coded 70, 83, and 100, with a minimum 18-inch radius to handle curves smoothly.
