HO GE ES44AC Locomotive CN #2836 Website Scheme (BLI8552)

An HO-scale GE ES44AC diesel locomotive reproducing Canadian National 2836 in the Website Scheme, built for realistic mainline operation on model railroad layouts. The ES44AC is a six-axle, 4,400-horsepower locomotive produced by General Electric from 2002 to 2019 and widely used by North America’s Class I railroads.

Equipped with Paragon4 sound and control featuring Rolling Thunder and GoPack capacitor packs, this model delivers authentic DC and DCC operation through a dual-mode decoder with back EMF for superb slow-speed performance. The design emphasizes heavy towing and smooth slow speeds thanks to a precision drive system, all-wheel electrical pickup, an ABS body, and a die-cast chassis that provides sturdy tractive effort. Prototypically accurate paint and road numbers are complemented by many separately applied details—handrails, grab irons, horns, bells, wipers, and etched grills—plus prototypical lighting and sounds for the GE ES44AC. Two metal Kadee-compatible couplers are included, and the model runs on Code 70, 83, or 100 track.
