HO EMD SD45 Locomotive GN 408 Simplified Empire (BLI9003)

This HO-scale EMD SD45 locomotive recreates Great Northern GN 408 in the Simplified Empire livery. It’s a Stealth Series model that runs on DC out of the box and is DCC-ready for adding a sound decoder later, with directional front and rear headlights and other lights that stay on with track power.

Constructed with an ABS body and die-cast chassis for durability and traction, the model features all-wheel electrical pickup and a precision drive system for heavy pulling and smooth slow-speed operation. It includes an 8-ohm speaker to simplify sound upgrades, along with prototypically accurate paint and road numbers, plus many separately applied details. Two metal Kadee-compatible couplers are included, and the locomotive will operate on HO track codes 70, 83, and 100 with a minimum 18-inch radius for reliable layout operation.
