PRR T1 Duplex Locomotive No. 5545 in silver and red is an N-scale model designed to bring the Pennsy’s iconic duplex steam locomotive to a modern layout. This Stealth Series release is DCC-ready and ships as a no-sound model, with an eight-ohm speaker pre-installed to simplify adding a DCC sound decoder if you choose. It captures the T1’s distinctive two-driver arrangement on a single rigid frame, delivering a compact profile with the weight and construction to pull trains smoothly. Out of the box, front and rear lights are directional, while other lights illuminate with track power, and one driver carries rubber tires for extra traction.

Finished in premium silver and red with prototypically accurate road numbers, the locomotive features separately controllable headlights and taillights, plus a range of fine details—handrails, grab irons, ladders, piping, whistle, and bell—for authentic scale presence. It uses Microtrains-compatible couplers and will operate on Code 55, 70, and 80 rails, with a minimum operating radius of 9.75 inches.
