HO EMD SD40 Locomotive SP 8436 Bloody Nose (BLI9047)

This HO-scale EMD SD40 locomotive reproduces SP 8436 in the Bloody Nose paint scheme, delivering a faithful SP power unit for HO layouts. It’s designed for model railroaders who want a road-numbered, prototype-faithful diesel that can run on DC out of the box and be upgraded with a DCC decoder if desired, thanks to the Stealth Series’ DCC-Ready, no-sound profile.

Built with an ABS body and a die-cast chassis for strength and traction, the model features all-wheel electrical pickup, premium painting, and many separately applied details such as handrails, grab irons, horns, bells, wipers, and etched grills. It includes metal Kadee-compatible couplers and is compatible with Code 70, 83, and 100 rail, with a minimum operating radius of 18 inches. Out of the box, front and rear lights are directional while other lighting remains on with track power, delivering a convincing SP SD40 experience with the option to add DCC if desired.
