HO PRR B6sb 0-6-0 Steam Switcher Locomotive with Paragon4 Sound (BLI9177)

The HO PRR B6sb 0-6-0 is an unlettered steam switcher locomotive painted in DGLE. Known as "shifters" on the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR), this model represents one of the most successful steam switchers ever built. A total of 238 B6sb locomotives were constructed between 1916 and 1920, featuring retrofitted power reversers that enhanced operational efficiency for yard crews.

These locomotives, characterized by their remarkable tractive effort of over 36,000 lbs, were commonly utilized in freight and passenger yards and occasionally on branch line duties throughout their operational lifespan. During both World Wars, they were vital in maintaining the flow of goods and transport. Although they were gradually phased out in the late 1940s in favor of diesel alternatives, one B6sb survives today and is on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.

This model incorporates the all-new Paragon4 Sound and Control System, which provides synchronized puffing smoke along with chuff sounds, variable intensity of smoke, and a DCC decoder featuring Back EMF for excellent slow-speed operation. It also includes a heavy die-cast boiler and tender body designed for increased pulling power, as well as premium painting and detailed figure installations, making it a beautiful addition to any model railway.
