HO PRR B6sb 0-6-0 No-Sound/DCC-Ready Locomotive (BLI9183)

The HO PRR B6sb 0-6-0 locomotive is a representation of a significant steam switcher in the Pennsylvania Railroad's history. Known commonly as "shifters," the B6 class was constructed between 1916 and 1920, with a total of 238 units built. They were equipped with power reversers, enhancing operational efficiency for crews during frequent switching tasks. These locomotives became a staple in major freight and passenger yards and were also deployed on branch line duties. With a tractive effort exceeding 36,000 lbs, the B6sb 0-6-0 proved to be effective in various capacities throughout World War I and World War II, but were phased out in the late 1940s and early 1950s in favor of diesel models. Currently, only one of these locomotives survives, preserved at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg.

This model variant features a pre-war appearance and is supplied with a 60S66A tender. It is designed as a No-Sound/DCC-ready option, allowing for easy integration of a decodable system at the user's discretion. The locomotive offers versatile lighting options, with front and rear directional lights that illuminate based on track power. This model serves both enthusiasts and hobbyists as an authentic representation of this iconic steam switcher, perfect for adding to HO scale railroad collections.
