EMD F7 AB Amtrak Model with Paragon4 Sound - Phase I (BLI9240)

An authentic EMD F7 AB Amtrak locomotive model with Paragon4 Sound, Phase I, designed for Amtrak-inspired operation on model railroads. The F7 cab units, built by GM-EMD in 1949–1953, are reproduced as an AB set with a powered A-unit (featuring Paragon4 Sound) and an unpowered B-unit, presented in prototypical Amtrak paint schemes and road numbers for ready-to-run use on DC or DCC layouts.

Paragon4 Sound and Rolling Thunder deliver real diesel rumble and horn cues, while a dual-mode decoder ensures smooth slow-speed performance on both DC and DCC. The model pairs an all-wheel pickup system with a die-cast chassis and ABS body for strong traction and durability, plus separately applied details such as grab irons, horns, bells, MU doors, ladders, roof antennas, and lift lugs. Road-specific painting and markings, Mars Light operation where prototypical, plus features like water and sand fill hatches, dynamic braking, cooling fans, exhaust and winterization hatches, give an authentic Amtrak F7 appearance. It runs on Code 55, 70, and 80 rails with a 9-inch minimum radius and includes MicroTrains-compatible couplers for easy consists.
