An N-scale model of the EMD F7A diesel locomotive, designed for model railroading enthusiasts who want an authentic, road-specific replica. Broadway Limited’s F7A line recreates eight different road variants with accurate road numbers and paint schemes, offered as A-B sets with powered A units featuring Paragon4 Sound and unpowered B units, or as standalone A or B units with full Paragon4 DC/DCC sound.

Designed for realistic operation on an N-scale layout, the model features Paragon4 Sound and Control with Rolling Thunder, a dual-mode decoder with Back EMF for smooth slow-speed performance on both DC and DCC, and a drive system engineered for heavy pulling and steady slow-speed operation. Mars Light is included where prototypically accurate, there is all-wheel electrical pickup, an ABS body with a die-cast chassis for maximum tractive effort, and premium painting that faithfully reproduces prototypical schemes and road numbers. Details such as grab irons, horns, bells, ladders, and roof equipment are applied to match the prototype, with prototypical lighting. It includes MicroTrains-compatible couplers and is compatible with Code 55, 70, and 80 track, requiring a minimum 9-inch radius to negotiate curves.
