EMD NW2 Switcher with Paragon4 Sound is an authentic N-scale locomotive that faithfully reproduces General Motors Electro-Motive Division's iconic NW2 switcher. This model captures the real locomotive’s signature mid-hood stacks, half-height front grill, curved cab window tops, and standard B-B trucks, while delivering Paragon4 sound and control for smooth DC/DCC operation and realistic engine notes.

Designed for serious hobbyists, the model features a die-cast body and chassis for maximum weight and traction, all-wheel electrical pickup, and metal Kadee-compatible couplers. It includes a dual-mode decoder with Back EMF for superb slow-speed handling and Paragon4 Sound and Control with Rolling Thunder for authentic engine sounds on both DC and DCC layouts, plus many separately applied details such as handrails, grabs, smokestacks, horns, and a bell.
