EMD SW7 Switcher N&W 3362 Blue with Imitation Gold Paragon4 Model (BLI9343)

An authentic scale model of the EMD SW7 switcher, finished in Norfolk and Western blue with imitation gold trim, reproducing N&W 3362 with Paragon4 sound and control for DC or DCC operation on model railroad layouts. The SW7 delivered about 1,200 horsepower and replaced the NW2, becoming a widely used switcher across more than 50 railroads; the model captures distinctive features such as the front radiator grill, dual headlights, and straight-topped cab windows on its 44-foot frame.

It rides on a die-cast body and chassis for strength and high tractive effort, with all-wheel power pickup and a precision drive designed for heavy towing and smooth slow-speed operation. Separately applied details—handrails, grab irons, smokestacks, horn, and bell—plus prototypical lighting and authentic EMD SW7 sounds bring realism to the layout. Paragon4 sound and control supports both DC and DCC operation with a dual-mode decoder and Back EMF, featuring Rolling Thunder. It runs on Code 55, 70, and 80 rails, uses two metal MicroTrains-compatible couplers, and has a minimum nine-inch operating radius. The product line includes 14 prototypical paint schemes and one Christmas theme to reflect the locomotive’s varied real-world appearances.
