EMD SW7 Switcher UP 1821 Yellow & Gray Model (BLI9351)

EMD SW7 Switcher UP 1821 in yellow and gray is a detailed locomotive model designed for yard switching and realistic operation on model railroads. Recreating the 1,200-horsepower SW7 that replaced the NW2, this 44-foot switcher features a full-height front radiator grille, dual headlights, and a straight-front cab profile. The model includes Paragon4 Sound and Control with Rolling Thunder and is offered in 14 prototypical paint schemes plus a Christmas Holiday theme.

Designed for authentic performance, it uses a dual-mode decoder with back EMF for smooth slow-speed operation in both DC and DCC, and a precision drive engineered for heavy towing and reliable slow speed. It has all-wheel electrical pickup, a die-cast body and chassis for maximum tractive effort, and many separately applied details like handrails, grab irons, smokestacks, horn, and bell. Prototypical lighting and sounds accompany prototypical SW7 operation, and metal MicroTrains-compatible couplers are included. It will operate on Code 55, Code 70, and Code 80 rails, with a minimum operating radius of 9 inches, making it versatile for a wide range of layouts.
