This HO-scale PRR S1 6-4-4-6 Duplex Locomotive, number 6100, in Tuscan Red Fantasy Paint, reproduces the Pennsylvania Railroad’s iconic Loewy-designed duplex. It’s a Stealth Series DCC-Ready model with No Sound, providing a solid platform to add a decoder and optional sound if desired. Out of the box, the front and rear lights are directional, while other lighting comes on with track power.

Power is delivered by a 5-pole can motor with a skew-wound armature and a precision drive for steady pulling power and smooth slow-speed operation. Handcrafted brass boiler, cab, and tender bodies atop a heavy die-cast chassis deliver authentic weight and traction, enhanced by rubber traction tires. An 8-ohm speaker is included to simplify adding DCC/Sound, and two spare flanged drivers can be swapped for a prototypical look. Additional realism comes from separately controllable lighting—headlight, rear light, cab light, rear marker lights, and number boards—along with factory-installed figures and a host of detailed features.
