Santa Fe 4-8-4 Heavy Mountain locomotive in N scale, unlettered and DCC-ready, from Broadway Limited Imports. This finely detailed model recreates the Baldwin-built 1927 Heavy Mountain design and is offered in a No-Sound DCC-Ready variant that’s ready for decoder installation or, if desired, can be paired with a Paragon4 sound package for authentic operation.

Two configurations are available: Paragon4 Sound and Control System with Rolling Thunder, or the Stealth Series No-Sound DCC-Ready option. It features an all-new sound and control system (when sound is chosen) or a pure No-Sound setup, plus an integrated dual-mode decoder with Back EMF for smooth DC and DCC performance, and a die-cast body and chassis for weight and maximum tractive effort. One driver carries a rubber tire for extra grip, and a working smoke unit with an on/off switch is included (smoke fluid required for N scale). The model also includes many separately applied details, prototypical lighting with a controllable headlight and rear emergency light, MicroTrains-compatible couplers, and compatibility with Code 55, 70, and 80 rails on a minimum 9.75-inch radius. Premium prototypical Santa Fe painting with accurate road numbers completes the presentation.
