The Union Pacific 2-8-8-0 "Bullmoose" is a distinguished locomotive celebrated for its unique design and robust performance. Characterized as a SA-C-6 model, this version showcases a pre-1944 appearance complete with 4-BL FWH. As part of the HO scale model range, it is meticulously crafted to reflect historical accuracy.

This locomotive type, commonly referred to as "Consolidation Mallets," was renowned for its ability to pull heavy freight trains, especially over challenging terrains such as Sherman Hill in Wyoming. Originally designed for the Santa Fe railroad, subsequent enhancements by Great Northern and Union Pacific allowed the Bullmoose to become an integral part of the Union Pacific roster, with 70 units manufactured either in-house or by the American Locomotive Company.
