Union Pacific 2-8-8-0 Bullmoose DCC-Ready HO Locomotive (BLI9433)

The Union Pacific 2-8-8-0 "Bullmoose" is a striking model locomotive known for its impressive ability to haul heavy freight trains. This model, representing the post-1944 appearance with five SA-FWH, showcases the intricate design and history of the Mallet type locomotives, colloquially nicknamed "Bullmoose" by the Union Pacific crews. Originally developed to overcome balance issues seen in their early designs, the Bullmoose series successfully traversed the challenging Sherman Hill thanks to its robust engineering and capability.

This locomotive was first put into service by Union Pacific in 1918, with 70 units either made in-house or by the American Locomotive Company. Designed with detailed prototypical features, the model captures the essence of the original locomotives, including a handcrafted brass boiler and diecast chassis.
