Union Pacific 2-8-8-0 Bullmoose HO-scale locomotive is a detailed reproduction of the famous Mallet freight engine, designed to haul heavy trains over steep grades on an HO-layout. This DCC-ready model can be operated as a no-sound version for straightforward operation, or paired with Paragon4 sound for authentic chuffing, synchronized smoke, and a more immersive experience.

Inside the shell sits a high-performance drivetrain and craftsmanship: a 5-pole motor with skew-wound armature, a die-cast chassis, and hand-crafted brass boiler and tender body for strong pulling power and smooth slow-speed operation. The model supports DCC with Back-EMF for reliable control, includes prototypical lighting and two Kadee-compatible couplers, plus traction tires for improved traction. It runs on Code 70, 83, and 100 rails with a minimum 18-inch radius, and features road-number specific detailing with separately applied ladders, piping, and cab glass to reproduce pre-1944 and post-1944 appearances, including an optional Two-Tone Gray fantasy scheme for collectors.
