N EMD SD40-2 US Navy Fantasy Scheme Paragon4 Sound Model Train (BLI9474)

This N-scale EMD SD40-2 locomotive in a US Navy fantasy scheme features Paragon4 sound and control for DC and DCC layouts. The model captures the SD40-2’s distinctive long-hood profile, three roof-mounted radiator fans, and a large exhaust stack, delivering authentic diesel operation to navy-themed scenes or general freight layouts. The lineup includes eight authentic paint schemes plus two US Navy fantasy schemes, each with prototypical road numbers.

Built with an ABS body atop a die-cast chassis for durability and strong tractive effort, this model uses Paragon4’s Rolling Thunder sound and a dual-mode decoder with Back EMF to deliver smooth slow-speed operation on both DC and DCC layouts. It features all-wheel electrical pickup, prototypical lights and sounds, and numerous separately applied details such as handrails, grab irons, horns, bells, and antennas. Two MicroTrains-compatible couplers are included, and the locomotive runs on Code 55, 70, and 80 rails with a minimum operating radius of 9 inches. Stealth Series variants are available that are no-sound and DCC-ready for customization.
