N EMD SD40-2 Union Pacific 3593 Desert Victory Diesel Locomotive (BLI9491)

The Union Pacific UP 3593 Desert Victory EMD SD40-2 is a finely detailed scale locomotive model designed for serious rail fans. This no-sound, DCC-ready version captures the SD40-2’s distinctive long-hood profile, the porch-like ends, three roof-mounted radiator fans, and a single large exhaust stack, all finished in the Desert Victory livery with road number 3593.

Built with an ABS body over a die-cast chassis for maximum traction, it features all-wheel electrical pickup and a suite of separately applied details such as handrails, grab irons, horns, bells, and antennas. The model is DCC-ready to accept a decoder for DC or DCC operation and, if desired, aftermarket sound. It includes two MicroTrains-compatible couplers, prototypical lighting, and authentic paint and road numbers to reproduce UP’s iconic Desert Victory scheme on the layout. It will operate on Code 55, 70, and 80 rails with a 9-inch minimum radius.
