Sidewinder 3 Waterproof 1/10-Scale Combo is a complete, water-resistant brushless power package designed to drive 1/10-scale RC cars and trucks up to 3S LiPo. It pairs a waterproof ESC with a 1406-5700Kv brushless motor to deliver crisp throttle response and reliable performance in damp conditions, though it’s not intended for operation while fully submerged.
Ready to run out of the box, the combo is programmable from a transmitter and supports additional tuning through a Castle Link USB adapter or Field Link card (sold separately). The motor is a four-pole, 12-slot sensored unit that is rebuildable with replaceable wires, though the Sidewinder 3 ESC will operate it in sensorless mode. This setup is ideal for 1/10-scale 2WD vehicles such as short course trucks and stadium/buggy platforms using 2S LiPo, with 3S capable for higher speeds at the cost of heat; not suitable for 4WD short course trucks. For operation, 4mm female bullets are required for motor connection (sold separately).

This combo includes a highly efficient 4-pole, 12-slot sensored motor and is known for its updated circuitry that enhances responsiveness and reliability. Please note that while the motor offers sensored capabilities, it will function in sensorless mode when paired with the Sidewinder 3 ESC.
This combo is designed to accommodate vehicles weighing up to 5 lbs, including the battery, ensuring optimal performance. The ESC measures 1.93 inches in length, 1.48 inches in width, and 0.79 inches in height, making it compact and lightweight at just 1.96 oz. The 1406-5700kV brushless motor features a length of 49.5mm and a diameter of 36mm, with M3 mounting holes at 25mm intervals. Additionally, the motor is rebuildable, allowing for easy repair and maintenance.
The Sidewinder 3 Combo is ready to run out of the box and can be conveniently programmed via your transmitter. For more advanced tuning options, users can access additional programmable features using a Windows PC with the Castle Link USB adapter or a Field Link card, both sold separately. This allows drivers to personalize settings such as brake and throttle curves, throttle response, and drag brake, as well as to download firmware updates and feature upgrades as they become available.
This combo is particularly effective for 2WD short course trucks using a 2S LiPo battery, and it can also be utilized in 1/10th scale 2WD stadium trucks and buggies for general bashing, with limited operation on 3S batteries due to potential temperature increases. However, it is not suitable for use in 4WD short course trucks.
For installation, users will need to solder 4mm female bullet connectors for the motor connection, as these are sold separately.
