Hydra XLX2 8S Electronic Speed Controller with 20A BEC is a high-performance, water-cooled ESC built for demanding RC setups. It accepts 3S–8S LiPo power (up to 33.6V) and includes a built-in 20A peak BEC with adjustable output from 5.25 to 8.0V to power receivers and servos. This variant moves away from an air‑cooled heatsink and adds a dedicated water‑cooled heatsink and aluminum top plate, with water fittings for 1/8" tubing and standard 10-32 threads for a clean, compact cooling solution. The rugged CNC aluminum case is potted in waterproof epoxy to protect the electronics while promoting efficient heat transfer.

CRYO-DRIVE technology minimizes heat generation and boosts power handling, especially at partial throttle. The Hydra XLX2 includes data logging, an auxiliary wire for on‑the‑fly transmitter adjustments, and audible alerts for motor over‑temperature and low‑voltage cutoff. It supports SBUS2 telemetry and works with popular Futaba transmitters, with easy programming via the Castle Link USB kit or the B‑LINK Bluetooth adapter for mobile control. Six common adjustable settings, including cutoff voltage and drag brake, are accessible, and the unit mounts securely with bottom mounting holes in a rugged aluminum chassis. For high‑power use, Castle recommends using appropriately rated connectors (at least 150A continuous).
