The Decathlon RJG 1.2m aerobatic RC trainer is a scale, 1.2-meter wingspan model based on the full-scale Decathlon flown by RJ Gritter. It’s built for both smooth sport flying and confident inverted and outside aerobatics, with authentic touches like LED landing and navigation lights, wheel pants, and wing struts. The one-piece wing is quick to install and remove thanks to thumbscrews and quick-release struts, making setup and transport simple without tools.
Power and electronics are geared for versatility: a 45-amp Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC powers a tuned motor that performs well on 3S or 4S packs (3S 2200mAh or 4S 3200mAh batteries). Four factory-installed digital, metal-geared servos with ball-link linkages deliver precise control, while the AR631 receiver provides telemetry with AS3X stability and optional SAFE Select for easy, assisted flying. Features like optional motor reversing, top-mounted battery hatch, scale LED lights, wheel pants, wing struts, and durable aluminum landing gear add to the authentic, scale look, all while keeping setup quick with tool-free wing assembly.
