Pro Axle Press (DWXPAT01)

The Pro Axle Press is a precision C.N.C. machined tool specifically engineered for straightening and shaping nail style axles found in Derby Car kits. Not all Derby Kit Axles are created equal, and achieving proper alignment for maximum speed is critical. By utilizing this tool to press the axles straight and taper the axle head, users are on their way to transforming standard components into high-performance racing parts.

This tool performs three essential procedures on nail-type axles to enhance the speed of the derby car:

Firstly, axle straightening guarantees precise wheel tracking by producing absolutely straight axles, which leads to improved speed. Secondly, axle rounding creates completely round axle shafts, ensuring accurate wheel rotation and thus further enhancing speed. Thirdly, head squaring aligns the axle head with the axle shaft, which is crucial for proper wheel rotation. Additionally, the recess on the tool's side is designed for head tapering, which reduces wheel contact and minimizes friction.

Moreover, the Pro Axle Press includes functionality for raised wheel and alignment adjustments. It serves as a clamping device, allowing users to intentionally bend an axle to raise a front wheel or make necessary alignment tweaks.

This tool was designed and rigorously tested for use with BSA and PineCar nail-type axles but may also suit nail axles from other kits. However, it is important to note that the Pro Axle Press is not compatible with rod-type (Awana) or screw-type (Royal Rangers) axles.
