40-Amp Pro Switch-Mode BEC Brushless ESC (V2) (EFLA1040B)

The E-flite 40-Amp Pro Switch-Mode BEC Brushless ESC, Version 2, is a compact, sensorless electronic speed controller with an integrated switch-mode BEC designed for RC aircraft. It powers servos and the receiver directly from the main battery, reducing weight and simplifying wiring by eliminating the need for a separate receiver battery.

With up to 40 amps of continuous current (55 amps burst with proper cooling), a 5-amp, 5V BEC, and support for 3- to 6-cell LiPo packs or 9- to 18-cell NiMH/Ni-Cd packs, this ESC handles multi-servo setups and demanding brushless motors. It features finned heat sinks for efficient cooling, programmable motor braking, a safe power-on mode to prevent accidental starts, and a programmable low-voltage cutoff for different battery configurations. Other options include programmable throttle range, soft-start for helis and airplanes, and five timing ranges to match a wide variety of motors. It also auto-shuts down if the signal is lost, uses lighter MOSFETs to reduce weight, and includes a radio system power ON/OFF switch. Prewired connectors comprise an EC3 input on the battery side and 3.5 mm gold bullet connectors on the motor output leads for straightforward installation.
