Ellipse SCT Tire (GREEN)

The Ellipse, named after the center bar built into the tread, is a complement to successful tires such as the Dirt Webs and Space Bars. The "œWeb" style tire was developed to excel on smooth high-grip indoor and outdoor surfaces, which require a finely detailed connected bar pattern. The center section of the tire features a diamond "œhome plate" footprint that provides substantial forward bite and increased longevity. The web of extensions is unique and offers a directional touch, giving racers the ultimate tunability.

The Dirt Web tire was originally launched during the 2013 racing season and made a remarkable entrance with a win at the CRCRC Midwest Championships. Since then, the Dirt Webs have become an industry leader for indoor performance and are often selected as a control tire due to their performance, reliability, and consistency. The Space Bars, introduced in 2016, also achieved victory at the 1/10th Off-Road Nationals, driven by Ryan Maifield in the 4wd modified class.

Jason Ruona notes that the Ellipse has a slightly tighter carcass, allowing drivers to navigate high-speed sections with greater comfort. The "œhome plate" and connected web of tread provide increased stability at high speeds and maintain tire integrity for today's high-powered vehicles. The connected tread wears significantly better, which is advantageous for indoor racing where drivers can use the same pair throughout the entire weekend.

The Ellipse has already secured a Stock National title in the hands of Matthew Gonzalez at the 2019 JConcepts Stock Nationals at OCRC Raceway. The gold compound is favored for most indoor events, demonstrating consistent results week after week for racers. Additionally, the Ellipse is available in the popular blue, green, and black compounds. Each package includes Dirt-Tech closed cell inserts, known for their durability and distinctive gray color, completing the race-tuned package.
