Estes Mean Machine Model Rocket Kit is a dramatic six-foot-tall model rocket designed for high-altitude flights and a striking field presence. It features a twist-lock connector that simplifies transport by allowing the rocket to disassemble, and a dependable parachute recovery system to bring it safely back to earth after each flight.

Built for builders with some experience, this Skill Level 2 kit includes four matching body tubes, laser-cut balsa fins, a molded plastic nose cone, a waterslide decal sheet, and a molded plastic twist-lock connector set. It can be powered by D- or E-class motors, with an engine spacer included to fit larger motors, offering flights up to about 900 feet. The finished rocket measures roughly 79 inches long with a 1.64-inch diameter and weighs about 5.8 ounces; finishing supplies, engines, and launch gear are sold separately. E-motor launches require compatible launch equipment (Porta-Pad E Launch Pad, E Launch Controller, and a 3/16 inch (5 mm) Maxi Launch Rod) sold separately, and this kit is best suited to ages 18 and up with adult supervision for those under 18.
