22 5.0 Aluminum Laydown Idler Gear 38T (EXO2048)

This 38-tooth aluminum laydown idler gear is designed for the TLR 22 laydown gearbox, replacing the stock plastic gear to deliver greater durability and reliable performance in high-powered racing setups.

Made from hard-anodized 7075 aluminum, it’s a robust upgrade for TLR 22 laydown gear boxes in the 4.0–5.0 range (not compatible with 22S). It’s substantially stronger than plastic, but not indestructible, so regular lubrication with black or white grease and periodic reapplication, along with proper slipper adjustments, help maximize life and keep belt operation smooth under demanding power.
