UltraCote Black RC airplane covering is a high-tech polyester film designed to finish RC aircraft with a durable, sleek black finish. Its multi-temperature adhesive shrinkage system works with a patented polymerizing process that permanently fuses the color to the polyester film, reducing color-layer separation and allowing the covering to be repositioned on the model as you fit to curves and edges.

Weighing about 0.30 oz per square foot, the covering both shrinks and stretches to accommodate tight curves and wingtips. It is fuel-proof to glow fuel, gas, and smoke oil, and waterproof for added durability. Applied temperatures begin with adhesion to wood around 200–220°F, with shrinkage starting around 300°F and maximum shrinkage near 350°F.
